Question

What aspects of yourself do you want to explore further through journaling?

Action Step

Experiment with different journaling prompts to spark creativity and self-discovery. Examples include writing about your happiest childhood memory, your biggest fear, or your proudest moment.

Here are a few prompts to help:

  • Imagine Your Ideal Day
If you could design your perfect day from start to finish, what would it look like? Describe it in detail, from the moment you wake up to when you go to sleep. Consider where you are, who you’re with, and what you’re doing. What does this tell you about the kind of life you want to build?"

  • Identify Moments of Joy
Think back over the past year and recall moments when you felt truly joyful or fulfilled. What were you doing, and who were you with? What was it about these moments that brought you happiness? List any patterns you notice that could guide you toward what you truly value.

  • Envision Your Life Five Years from Now
Fast-forward five years. Imagine you’re living your ideal life, and a close friend is describing the person you’ve become and the impact you’ve made over these years. What achievements, qualities, or contributions do they highlight? How does this vision compare to where you are today? Use this reflection to set clear intentions that can guide you toward this future self.

Statistic

According to research published in Psychology and Aging, journaling can enhance cognitive processing and improve memory function in older adults.

Time to Create Your Vision Boards

It's almost the end of the year, which is the perfect time to start creating an intentional plan for 2025. A great visualization tool can be so helpful!

I've created vision boards using magazines and poster boards for the past 20 years, but sometimes it takes a lot of time, and honestly, I don't subscribe to magazines anymore.

So instead of hitting up the store to pick up the latest issues of every magazine I could find, I bought Daily Dopamine's Vision Board Kit. Everything I needed in one box, and visualization board done in less than 30 minutes. Plus, it's beautiful, and still allows me space to personalize.

This is a great tool for you, as well as a great gift.

Use the coupon code "LAURA10" for 10% off.

Thanks to Daily Dopamine for sponsoring this week's newsletter.

2 years ago, I quit my VP job because of burnout. I didn’t know what I needed. I just knew that something had to change. My life was a mix of this: Full calendars Missed milestones of my daughter Working late nights and weekends A lot of skipped lunches for meetings Chronic insomnia because I lived in stress No matter what I tried, nothing worked. Not vacations. Not a weekend off. Not even disconnecting from work. Even if I felt temporary relief, it would come crashing back the minute I was...
